Kakao held the graduation ceremony for the Jeju course of its digital talent development program, 'Kakao Tech Bootcamp,' on the 11th. This Jeju course prioritized selecting trainees residing in Jeju. The approximately two-month offline project was conducted in Jeju, creating an environment fully focused on learning. Despite being a total of 1,000 hours of online and offline education over about six months from April 2 to October 11, all trainees successfully completed the program.
The Kakao Tech Bootcamp is an educational program that Kakao Group promotes under the slogan "Closer, Kakao," as part of a win-win program to train developers who can be immediately deployed to the field through intensive training courses. In 2022, Kakao was selected as a digital leading academy education operator for the 'K-Digital Training' program promoted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and has been operating it together with the Korea Radio Promotion Association and Gureum.
Currently, 150 trainees in Pangyo and 50 trainees in Jeju are enrolled and participating in the education courses. So far, 250 developers have been trained in various courses such as cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), and full-stack development, and Kakao plans to nurture 1,000 practical talents by 2026.
Seongguk Lim, Kakao Cloud Managed Services Leader, said, "Kakao Tech Bootcamp provides practical education through special lectures and mentoring by current Kakao employees," adding, "We will continue to create various opportunities to nurture talents who will lead the future of the digital industry and realize the value of coexistence."
