Youngjin Angle announced that it has obtained a patent for the ‘H Beam Overturn Prevention Device’.
The ‘H Beam Overturn Prevention Device’ is designed to prevent the overturning phenomenon of H beams, which are widely used in building structures, ensuring the safety of workers and preventing property damage.
H beams are steel construction materials used in various facilities due to their high strength and durability. However, due to their structural characteristics, they often experience overturning when temporarily placed on the floor, meaning they topple sideways. If a heavy steel structure falls sideways and hits a worker, there is a high risk of serious injury or fatal accidents, and if it strikes nearby machinery or equipment, it can cause significant economic losses and work delays.
Until now, on-site measures to prevent H beam overturning have involved securing the structure with cables or ropes, or using concrete blocks and counterweights. However, these devices used to fix H beams cause inconvenience during work and result in considerable waste of manpower and equipment.
The ‘H Beam Overturn Prevention Device’ patented by Youngjin Angle differs from existing devices by offering a relatively simple structure and ease of use while reliably preventing the overturning of H beams. The device combines a grip part shaped like a clamp and a support part resting on the floor. It makes multiple contacts with the H beam and evenly distributes the load of the H beam, allowing it to stably support the beam without movement or slipping.
Kim Dong-su, CEO of Youngjin Angle, said, “We started development to prevent industrial accidents caused by unexpected overturning when installing or temporarily storing H beams used in various fields. The newly developed ‘H Beam Overturn Prevention Device’ will provide a safer environment for workers and greatly help improve work efficiency.”
Meanwhile, Youngjin Angle is a company specializing in the design and construction of logistics storage rack systems. To prevent various industrial accidents that may occur in logistics sites and minimize damage, the company continuously develops various equipment and technologies such as ‘fire shutter drive devices’ and ‘sliding gate devices,’ obtaining numerous patents and contributing to the establishment of advanced logistics systems.
