Through this MOU, the two companies have agreed to actively establish and operate an organic cooperative system to provide plant-based menu options for airline in-flight meals. Korean Air C&D will expand the development and supply of in-flight meal menus using Shinsegae Food’s plant-based alternative products, while Shinsegae Food plans not only to develop alternative products suitable for plant-based in-flight meals but also to propose menus optimized for Korean, Chinese, and Western cuisines to help Korean Air C&D supply high-quality plant-based in-flight meals. Additionally, both companies will work to expand the supply of MyChef products, a subsidiary of Korean Air C&D, to Shinsegae affiliates.

A Shinsegae Food representative stated, "Due to health and value consumption reasons, customers who enjoy plant-based alternative foods will be able to choose from a variety of menu options in airline in-flight meals through our partnership with Korean Air C&D." The representative added, "We will strive to offer menus using plant-based alternative foods not only in in-flight meals but also in various other areas in the future."
