[Polpol News] President Yoon's Approval Rating Hits Lowest Again... 'Negative Rating 71.3%, Highest Since Inauguration'

President Yoon's Approval Rating Falls 2.1 Percentage Points to 25.8%

President Yoon Suk-yeol's approval rating for his administration declined last week, matching the lowest level since his inauguration. Negative evaluations reached a record high since he took office.

According to a public opinion poll released on the 14th by Realmeter (commissioned by Energy Economy Newspaper, conducted over four days excluding holidays from the 7th to the 11th, targeting 2,009 voters aged 18 and over nationwide, with 97% mobile and 3% landline using an automated response system), President Yoon's approval rating fell by 2.1 percentage points from the previous regular survey to 25.8%. This matches the lowest approval rating recorded in the fourth week of September since his inauguration.

Negative evaluations rose by 3.2 percentage points from the previous survey to 71.3%. This is higher than the 70.8% recorded in the fourth week of September, marking the highest level since his inauguration.

Approval ratings dropped by 6.2 percentage points among those aged 70 and over (from 46.2% to 40.0%), by 4.0 percentage points among those in their 60s (from 36.3% to 32.3%), and by 4.0 percentage points among those in their 50s (from 23.7% to 19.7%). Daily polls showed a decline from the beginning of the week (4th, 26.8%) to a lower level at the end of the week (11th, 24.7%).

In party support (commissioned by Energy Economy Newspaper, conducted on the 10th and 11th, targeting 1,001 voters aged 18 and over nationwide, with 97% mobile and 3% landline using an automated response system), the Democratic Party of Korea's support rose by 1.5 percentage points to 43.9%, while the People Power Party's support fell by 1.9 percentage points to 30.8%. The Innovation Party recorded 9.3%, and the Reform Party recorded 3.8%.
