Great Response During Hwangryonggang Autumn Flower Festival

Jangseong-gun held the 'One Heart Dementia Overcoming Walking Event' on the 11th along the Hwangryonggang area.
About 400 participants, including dementia patients, their families, and local residents, took part in this walking event, which was held in conjunction with the Hwangryonggang Autumn Flower Festival, receiving great response. Participants strolled along the riverside adorned with autumn flowers, relieving both physical and mental stress.
The event began with a line dance performance by the silver dance team 'Chumchuneun Cheongchun,' followed by dementia prevention exercises and a dementia overcoming 'towel performance,' before the main walk started. The 3km course started from the festival's main stage at Hwangryong Garden, passed Yongjakgyo and Seosamgyo bridges, and returned to the starting point. Those who completed the course received a small commemorative gift.
At the 'Health Promotion Pavilion,' information on health projects related to smoking cessation, chronic diseases, mental health, dementia, and nutrition was provided.
Kim Han-jong, the mayor of Jangseong-gun, stated, “With aging, the importance of dementia prevention is increasing. We will continue to raise awareness and provide support so that all members of the community can take an interest in dementia prevention and management.”
