On the 13th, at the Asiaad Country Club Pine & Lake Course (Par 71, 7,104 yards) in Gijang-gun, Busan, during the 4th round of the KPGA Tour Baeksong Holdings-Asiaad CC Busan Open (total prize money 1 billion KRW), Jang added 3 under par to tie with Jang Heemin at 9 under par 275 strokes, then clinched the victory with a 'winning birdie' on the first hole of the playoff resumed at the 18th hole (par 4). This marks his second win of the season since his victory at the Gunsan CC Open in July, his third KPGA Tour win including the 2023 Gunsan CC Open as an amateur, and the winner's prize money is 200 million KRW.
Jang Yubin firmly maintained his lead in the points race and surpassed Kim Mingyu to take the top spot in the season's money ranking (1,036,100,000 KRW), becoming the first player in KPGA Tour history to surpass 1 billion KRW in prize money. Starting tied for the lead with Jang Heemin, he recorded 4 birdies and 1 bogey. In the playoff held at the 18th hole, he roared after sinking a 6-meter birdie putt. This victory was a 'wire-to-wire' win, holding the lead throughout the four days of the tournament.
Jang Heemin secured his second runner-up finish of the season following a tie for 2nd place at last month's Golfzon-Doremi Open. He has one win from the 2022 Woori Financial Championship. Lee Junghwan, Moon Doyeop, Cho Wooyoung, and Park Sungjun finished tied for 3rd place, one stroke behind at 8 under par 276 strokes. Lee Donghwan, Kang Yunseok, and Song Minhyeok tied for 7th place at 7 under par 277 strokes, while a remarkable six players including Ok Taehun, Jeong Hanmil, Kim Dongmin, and Park Eunsin tied for 10th place at 5 under par 279 strokes.
