Suseong District in Daegu announced that Sinmae Market, the region's representative traditional market, will hold a Naver Shopping Live Commerce broadcast for one hour starting at 11:30 a.m. on the 15th.
During the broadcast, viewers can purchase Sinmae Market's signature foods such as saengseon kimchi, gajami sikhae, tot mandu, tot ganjang, and chal hotteok, with free shipping service available.
A live commerce broadcast taking place at Sinmae Market, a traditional market in Suseong District, Daegu, during the Chuseok holiday last September.
Those who purchase products during the live broadcast will also receive benefits such as event gifts and dramatic discounts.
This move aligns with recent shopping trends, allowing customers to conveniently purchase local foods at reasonable prices and packages without the hassle of visiting the market in person.
This is the second Sinmae Market live commerce broadcast, following the Chuseok broadcast last September. The previous broadcast featured assorted jeon, grilled mackerel, and tteokgalbi, which attracted significant consumer interest.
Suseong District and Sinmae Market plan to continue their online business efforts to help market merchants adapt to the changing distribution environment and enhance their competitiveness.
Kim Dae-kwon, head of Suseong District in Daegu, said, "We have high expectations for the Sinmae Market live commerce broadcast, which reflects changing consumer trends. Suseong District will continue to support the efforts of traditional markets that are proactively adapting to change."
