Conservative candidate Jo Jeon-hyeok, running in the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education by-election, publicly proposed unification to candidate Yoon Ho-sang.

He added, "Candidates Jeong Geun-sik and Choi Bo-seon, feeling the disadvantage, have successfully unified," emphasizing, "There is a flood of requests from Seoul citizens that the conservative camp must also unite their strength through unification."

Jo criticized, "We cannot ignore their wishes, and the urgency to win the election for educational reform is growing," adding, "The unification of candidates Jeong Geun-sik and Choi Bo-seon is a political collusion that deviates from the true purpose of education, which is to teach and learn right from wrong."

Jo stated, "I reject the shady unification filled with conspiracy and manipulation. I will pursue a bright, transparent, and open unification solely to overthrow the vested interests of the left."

He also said, "I aim for a good unification process that becomes a performance and a festival, bringing smiles to the faces of Seoul citizens," adding, "The only necessary condition for unification is the will and belief to create a better future for children and a better Republic of Korea."

Jo acknowledged, "I know candidate Yoon is passive about unification," and earnestly requested, "Once again, I sincerely ask you to reflect on the values of dedication and sacrifice for the greater good."
