Seoul Superintendent of Education Recorded at 8.28%

The final early voting rate for the October 16 by-elections was recorded at 8.98% on the 12th.
According to the National Election Commission, out of 8,645,180 registered voters in five electoral districts nationwide, 775,971 participated in the early voting held over two days starting the previous day.
By electoral district, the early voting rate for the Seoul Superintendent of Education by-election was 8.28%.
The early voting rate for the Busan Geumjeong District Mayor by-election was 20.63%, and for the Incheon Ganghwa County Governor by-election, it was 27.90%.
The early voting rates for the Jeonnam Gokseong County Governor re-election and the Jeonnam Yeonggwang County Governor re-election were 41.44% and 43.06%, respectively.
This early voting rate for the by-elections was lower than that of the most recent by-elections held without National Assembly or metropolitan mayoral elections.
Last year, the early voting rate for the October 11 Seoul Gangseo District Mayor by-election was 22.64%, marking the highest early voting rate in by-election history. The total voter turnout including the main election was 48.7%.
The main voting for this by-election will be held on the 16th from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
