Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the site of the 2024 Mental Health Community Festival ‘Maeumi-eum, Maeum-alum Festa’ held on the afternoon of the 12th at the Red Road R1 Meeting Square in Hongdae.
Hosted and organized by Yeomni Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, this event was planned to commemorate ‘Mental Health Day’ on October 10th, aiming to eliminate social prejudice and negative perceptions about mental health and to inform residents about related services.
At the festival site, various events were prepared, including mental health experience programs, a flea market for vulnerable residents with mental health issues, and street busking for mental healing.
At the opening ceremony, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said, “We often neglect to take care of our minds in our busy daily lives,” adding, “I hope you have a valuable time at this festival to look into your own mind through various experiences and receive help.”
