Lee Jung-hyun, Vice Chairman of the Presidential Committee on the Local Era, held a special lecture on the 11th at the small auditorium on the 3rd floor of Hosimgwan at Gwangju University, attended by about 200 enrolled students.


In the special lecture titled "Vision and Strategy for the Local Era," Vice Chairman Lee emphasized, "Gwangju and Jeonnam possess immense growth potential with their natural environment and abundant infrastructure in industries such as automobiles, medical care, culture, steel, and space." He added, "I hope young people become the main actors and take charge of the strategies and plans to revitalize countless new growth engines in the region during this dynamic era of change."


Vice Chairman Lee also stated, "Today is not a world where only academic excellence is valued. Like the achievement of author Han Kang, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature, each young individual clearly possesses genius in certain fields." He encouraged, "If you set dreams and goals in the areas you excel at and have the will to do something, you can reach very high levels."


During the Q&A session following the lecture, Vice Chairman Lee shared his personal know-how for obtaining vast information from various sectors of society and around the globe with the students, and presented his efforts and improvement plans for enhancing the living conditions for young people in the region.
