Private Wedding Ceremony at Seoul Walkerhill Hotel
Pre-Invitations Seem to Have Been Sent Out
Minjung, the second daughter of SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, is holding her wedding at the Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul on the 13th, and many business leaders are expected to attend to celebrate.
At the Korea-Japan Business Roundtable held last year at the Tokyo Keidanren (Japan Business Federation) Hall, Shin Dong-bin, Chairman of Lotte Group (second from the left), Koo Kwang-mo, Chairman of LG Group, Chung Eui-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, Chey Tae-won, Chairman of SK Group, and Lee Jae-yong, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, are applauding. According to the business community on the 12th, the wedding will be attended not only by Chairman Chey, Noh So-young, director of the Art Center Nabi, and SK family relatives, but also by major group chairpersons who will all celebrate the marriage.
It is known that invitation cards were sent in advance to Lee Jae-yong, chairman of Samsung Electronics; Chung Eui-sun, chairman of Hyundai Motor Group; Koo Kwang-mo, chairman of LG Group; and Shin Dong-bin, chairman of Lotte Group.
Chairman Lee is reported to have a high possibility of attending the wedding as he returned home after a business trip to Southeast Asia, including the Philippines and Singapore, the night before. Previously, Chairman Lee attended the wedding of Chung Eui-sun’s eldest daughter Jin-hee in 2022 with his daughter Won-joo.
Since Chairman Chung Eui-sun and Chairman Shin Dong-bin also attended the wedding of Chairman Chey’s eldest daughter Yoon-jung in 2017, they are likely to attend this time as well. Chairman Chey also attended the wedding of Chairman Chung’s eldest daughter.
From the SK side, most of the family relatives, including Chairman Chey’s younger brother Chey Jae-won, cousin Choi Si-won, former chairman of SK Networks, and Chey Chang-won, chairman of the SK Supex Council, are expected to attend.
As Chairman Chey serves as the chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representing economic organizations and actively interacting with political and business figures, a considerable number of key political and business figures are also expected to attend.
The wedding will be held privately, and only guests who received invitations in advance will be allowed to enter. The number of guests is expected to be around 500.
