Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency held the opening ceremony of the ‘Gyeonggi AI Campus’ and a communication meeting on the 11th at the Pangyo Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center.
Gyeonggi Province established the campus to provide not only a network for AI experts to share technology and collaborate but also startup planning, mentoring, employment and entrepreneurship support, and educational programs.
Located in Pangyo, the Gyeonggi AI Campus is a 128-pyeong AI exchange center, consisting of spaces that can be used for group discussions and AI training, as well as a multipurpose space that can accommodate about 100 people.
In the first part of the opening ceremony, Gyeonggi Province introduced ▲ the 7 major AI visions of Gyeonggi Province ▲ a communication meeting between public-private AI experts and AI professionals preparing for employment and entrepreneurship ▲ and screened videos produced with generative AI. In the second part, a session was held to share employment information such as the latest technology status of big tech companies and the types of talent companies seek.
Kang Seong-cheon, president of the Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency, said, "Pangyo, where the first Gyeonggi AI Campus has opened, is the center of AI and technology not only in Gyeonggi Province but in South Korea," adding, "We will provide a place for AI exchange and education closely connected to the daily lives of residents, beyond simple AI technology education."
