Various Performances and Experiences Offer Diverse Attractions
The 13th Good Morning Yangnim Festival will be held from the 18th to the 26th in Yangnim-dong, a representative tourist destination of Nam-gu, Gwangju, and a modern historical cultural village.
Nam-gu, Gwangju announced on the 11th that the Good Morning Yangnim Festival will kick off with an opening ceremony on the 18th and run for nine days. The theme of this year’s festival is “Autumn Creates the Jewels of My Heart.”
First, in the exhibition category, four programs will be presented: the Yangnim Cultural Figures Exhibition, Gwangju Female Pottery Exhibition, artist Choi Soon-jung’s exhibition, and the Willow Tree Historical Photo Exhibition. Along with a humanities concert, various performance stages will also be held. Additionally, visitors can enjoy performances showcasing local intangible cultural heritage, traditional Korean music stages, and participation and experience programs.
A Nam-gu official said, “As a humanities festival representing Gwangju, we have prepared sophisticated and diverse programs,” adding, “It will enrich the cultural life of Gwangju citizens and serve as an opportunity for local residents to take pride in their cultural resources.”
