The Saemaul Association of Changwon, Gyeongnam, held the ‘2024 Changwon Saemaul Association One Mind Resolution Rally’ at Samjin Sports Complex on the 11th.
The event was attended by Changwon Special Mayor Hong Nam-pyo, Changwon City Council Chairman Son Tae-hwa, and over 900 members of the Changwon Saemaul Association.
The event was organized to foster momentum for a creative Saemaul Movement through understanding and communication among Saemaul Association members. Having devoted themselves to public service, social volunteering, and fostering a healthy youth culture, the Saemaul members encouraged and united with one another.
President Hong Panchul stated, “Since we have gathered here despite our busy schedules, I hope everyone enjoys themselves to the fullest. I wish this occasion serves as an opportunity for Saemaul members to honor the Saemaul spirit together and reaffirm the code of ethics for Saemaul leaders.”
In his congratulatory speech, Changwon Special Mayor Hong Nam-pyo said, “I am always grateful to all Saemaul leaders who have dedicated themselves to community movements, such as practicing warm sharing with marginalized neighbors. The city will continue to work with the Saemaul Association to create a city where everyone prospers together, ensuring the precious values of the Saemaul spirit are well passed down to future generations.”
