Sejong University Ranks 7th Nationwide in '2025 THE World University Rankings'

Sejong University announced on the 12th that it ranked 7th domestically and 200-251st globally in the ‘2025 World University Rankings’ released by the UK higher education evaluation agency 'THE'.

THE World University Rankings provide annual global university rankings based on teaching, research, impact, and international outlook. This year, the rankings covered 2,092 universities across 115 countries worldwide. The evaluation criteria included a total of 18 indicators such as educational environment, research environment, research quality, and internationalization.

Sejong University received a score of 94.3 in the research quality category, which includes the citation impact indicator reflecting the qualitative excellence of papers, making it the only domestic university to achieve a score in the 90s. The ranking for qualitative excellence of papers also rose three places from the previous year to 55th in the world. Domestically, it ranked 1st for the second consecutive year.

Jonghwa Eom, President of Sejong University, said, "Thanks to the research capabilities of our excellent faculty and administrative support, we were able to achieve good results in the world university rankings," adding, "We will continue to expand our global research network and enhance our research level."
