"The Essence of the V12 Engine"... Aston Martin Unveils 'Vanquish' for the First Time in Korea

Aston Martin Vanquish Domestic Launch Event on the 11th

British sports car brand Aston Martin unveiled its flagship sports car 'Vanquish,' showcasing the essence of the V12 engine, for the first time in Korea on the 11th. The Vanquish is the first new car introduced to the domestic market by Britannia Auto, which was selected as Aston Martin's new official importer in May.

On the day, Britannia Auto held an unveiling event for Aston Martin's new flagship model Vanquish at Inspire Resort in Jung-gu, Incheon. At the same time, they announced Britannia Auto's Korean market strategy as the newly appointed official importer of Aston Martin, marking the start of full-scale operations.

The new Vanquish is the pinnacle model in Aston Martin's front-engine sports car lineup. Aston Martin equipped the new Vanquish with a V12 engine delivering a maximum output of 835 horsepower and a peak torque of 1000Nm. Its top speed is 345 km/h, the highest among Aston Martin's mass-produced models. To enhance the V12's performance, Aston Martin installed a low-inertia turbocharger that improves the maximum speed by 15%. It utilizes exhaust gas energy more efficiently to supply more air to the engine.

Additionally, a new chassis structure was applied, extending the wheelbase (distance between front and rear axles) by 80mm. To enhance driving immersion, parts reinforcing the lower body rigidity were added, improving lateral stiffness by 75% compared to the previous flagship model, the 'DBS 770 Ultimate.'

The development goal of the Vanquish was to create a 'flagship model with overwhelming performance.' It allows comfortable driving in normal mode, but when the driver desires an intense driving experience, performance can be elevated by switching to Sport mode or Sport+ damper mode. The latest 'Bilstein DTX damper' technology was applied, enabling damper force adjustment over a wide range.

The exterior design emphasizes modern elegance through a solid body, wide track, and graceful curves. The interior features a next-generation sports car interior structure with a special design exclusive to the Vanquish. Aston Martin equipped the Vanquish with a self-developed next-generation infotainment system that supports Apple iOS and Android devices via a mobile app.

Aston Martin plans to limit production to fewer than 1,000 units annually to maintain its value as a rare supercar, with full-scale deliveries scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.

Meanwhile, the event also marked a new beginning for Britannia Auto, the newly appointed official importer in Korea. Britannia Auto opened the Aston Martin showroom in Suwon in May and completed the acquisition of the Seoul showroom in September. At these two showrooms, they aim to provide the highest quality service through premium customer service and the 'Q by Aston Martin' customized service.

Kwon Hyuk-min, CEO of Britannia Auto, said, "As the new official importer in Korea, we will widely share the charm and value of Aston Martin," adding, "We will wholeheartedly welcome customers so that more people can experience Aston Martin."
