HyunA (32), formerly of the group 4Minute, and Yong Junhyung (35), formerly of Highlight (formerly Beast), are becoming a married couple.

HyunA and Yong Junhyung will hold a private wedding ceremony on the 11th at Samcheonggak in Seoul, inviting close acquaintances. Although specific details such as the officiant, congratulatory songs, and speeches have not been disclosed, it is known that they are preparing an outdoor wedding that reflects their unique personalities. The rental fee for Ilwhadang at Samcheonggak, where the ceremony will take place, is confirmed to be about 15 million KRW. Including fresh flower decorations and meal costs, the total is estimated to have exceeded 100 million KRW.

Earlier, HyunA publicly revealed her relationship with Yong Junhyung through her social media (SNS) in January. The two were former colleagues under Cube Entertainment. Yong Junhyung also featured in HyunA's first solo song "Change," released in 2010. Later, after six months of public dating, HyunA announced through her agency At Area in July, "Yong Junhyung, who has been a great comfort to me during difficult times, and I have promised marriage as a fruit of our love," adding, "We are preparing a ceremony with close acquaintances in October to start a new life." Yong Junhyung's agency Black Made also stated on the same day, "The two will begin a new chapter in life as a married couple with deep affection and trust for each other," and asked for "loving interest and congratulations."

Meanwhile, HyunA debuted in February 2007 as a member of the group Wonder Girls but withdrew in July of the same year due to health issues. She re-debuted in 2009 with 4Minute and was active in various activities. She also released several solo albums, hitting songs such as "Bubble Pop!," "Red," and "Lip & Hip." Yong Junhyung debuted in 2009 with the group Beast, gaining popularity with songs like "Shock," "Fiction," and "Beautiful." However, after ending his contract with Cube Entertainment and due to trademark issues, the group changed its name to Highlight, and Yong Junhyung continued both group and solo activities. In 2019, he withdrew from the group amid allegations of involvement in the "Jung Joon-young chatroom scandal."
