Contribution to Growth in Women's Fashion and Accessories Transaction Volume
"Kitchen and Home Decor to Become New Growth Engines"
Musinsa's women's fashion platform 29CM (Isipgusentimiteo) announced on the 11th that its third-quarter transaction amount reached 250 billion KRW, marking a 56% growth compared to the same period last year. If this growth trend continues, the annual transaction amount is expected to exceed 1 trillion KRW within the year.
The number of new customers joining 29CM has maintained a growth trend for three consecutive months. This is thanks to the steady increase in new sign-ups, mainly among female customers aged 25 to 39.
This growth is driven by the women's fashion apparel and accessories categories. Recently, the platform has been accelerating transaction growth by strengthening its selection of women's sportswear and sneakers.
As the peak fashion season of fall and winter approaches, the growth rate is expected to accelerate further. The '24 Fall Winter Fashion View' special exhibition held earlier also showed good results. This event, held for two weeks from the 23rd of last month to the 4th, saw transaction amounts and the number of buyers increase by 6.8 times and 50%, respectively, compared to the new product exhibition held during the same period last year. Doubling the scale of the event was key to its success.
The offline space 'Igugallery' also contributed to transaction growth. The newly opened 'Igugallery Pangyo' last month, a brand select shop, gained popularity through word of mouth and recorded a cumulative 36,000 visitors within a month. Igugallery Seoul and Daegu also attracted over 1 million visitors combined during the third quarter of this year.
29CM plans to accelerate its growth by making the home category?including kitchen, lifestyle, furniture, and home decor?a new driving force. Since launching 'IguHome' in August, the platform has been actively expanding the home category, achieving more than double the transaction amount compared to last year.
