Polaris Office Group announced on the 11th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with MDS Tech, a total solution company specializing in embedded systems, for the development of autonomous driving platforms and AI solutions. Through this agreement, Polaris Office Group plans to focus on developing market-leading AI solutions and autonomous driving platforms by combining its software (SW) development capabilities with MDS Tech’s expertise in embedded systems and other technologies.
MDS Tech is a company that provides solutions and platforms necessary for the development process of embedded systems to help software developers and researchers perform their tasks efficiently. In June 2018, it formed an AI solution integrated supply partnership with NVIDIA, a specialized AI chip manufacturer, and currently serves as the exclusive distributor of AI modules in Korea. Leading its major subsidiaries, including MDS Intelligence, it offers solutions representing future industries such as AI, IoT, and big data.
Polaris Office Group plans to contribute to the development of autonomous driving platforms and the transition to software-defined vehicle (SDV) platforms by utilizing MDS Tech’s autonomous driving development and verification solutions, Polaris Office’s software development capabilities, and PolarisAI’s voice recognition technology.
Additionally, Polaris Office Group will collaborate on the development of on-premise AI solutions and IoT (Internet of Things) solutions related to disaster safety communication networks by receiving NVIDIA solutions from MDS Tech.
