October 14th, 3 PM: Barefoot Walking Event on the Yellow Soil Path at Anyangcheon Embankment Trail
1.1km Yellow Soil Path Completed Over 2 Years... Autumn Scenery with Cherry Blossom Trees and Anyangcheon
Unique 'Yellow Soil Mask Pack Experience' and Healing & Health Programs Offering Daily Relaxation and Leisure

Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced the completion of a 1.1 km-long "Barefoot Loess Trail" along the Anyangcheon embankment walkway and will hold a "Barefoot Walking" event that offers healing amidst the autumn atmosphere.

This event was organized to provide an opportunity to walk barefoot along the 1.1 km "Barefoot Loess Trail," allowing participants to connect with nature and enjoy the autumn scenery where the cherry blossom trees and the river of Anyangcheon harmonize.

The event will take place on the 14th at 3 PM on the ecological pond observation deck located between Omokgyo and Mokdonggyo on the Anyangcheon embankment walkway. The event will open with performances ranging from drama original soundtracks (OST) to Arirang, which even the elderly can sing along to. Following this, ▲ quiz events ▲ loess dyeing experience ▲ mist lamp (lamp emitting fine mist particles) experience ▲ drinking healthy tea ▲ and a "stone drawing" experience for children will add to the enjoyment of the event.

The highlight of the event is the "Loess Mask Pack Experience." Participants wearing loess mask packs on their faces will lie down on the Anyangcheon embankment path, breathe in the autumn air, and have a moment to become one with nature.

The "Barefoot Loess Trail," completed over about two years from last year to this year, consists of three sections: from Yangpyeonggyo to Yangpyeong 2 pedestrian overpass, from Yangpyeong 1 pedestrian overpass to Mokdonggyo, and from Omokgyo to Sinjeonggyo. Especially in spring, the scenery of cherry blossom petals raining down from the cherry trees lining both sides of the loess trail is breathtaking.

In addition, various convenience facilities for the comfort and safety of residents have been carefully provided, including dry and wet loess trails, regular dirt paths, foot washing stations, shoe racks, and dirt brushing areas.

Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, said, "On a cool autumn day, we hope everyone will take off their stuffy shoes and instead become one with nature on the Anyangcheon Barefoot Loess Trail, healing and refreshing their tired minds in daily life." He added, "We will do our best to make the Anyangcheon Barefoot Loess Trail a representative wellness tourist destination and a sacred place for barefoot walking."
