Kim Dong-yeon Holds Meeting with the Executive Committee of the Korean American Association of Greater America to Discuss Cooperation Plans Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon is meeting with the presidents of the Federation of Korean Associations in the USA on the 10th to discuss ways of mutual cooperation.

Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon held a meeting for mutual cooperation with the Federation of Korean Associations in the USA at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office on the 10th.


On this day, Governor Kim met with Seo Jeong-il, President of the Federation of Korean Associations in the USA, and 17 executives and chairpersons, and introduced that he had met Spencer James Cox, Governor of Utah, two weeks ago. He said, "The Korea-US alliance is the axis of South Korea's diplomacy. Welcome to Gyeonggi Province, and I hope the Federation of Korean Associations in the USA will play a significant role in Korea-US cooperative relations."


Seo Jeong-il, President of the Federation of Korean Associations in the USA, responded, "The Federation of Korean Associations in the USA is a place that instills a sense of roots so that future generations can live in the United States with pride as Koreans," adding, "If given the opportunity, we hope to cooperate on many projects with Gyeonggi Province."


Through this meeting, Gyeonggi Province and the Federation of Korean Associations in the USA discussed ▲ promotion of Korea-US friendship ▲ cooperation with Gyeonggi Province for future generations ▲ economic cooperation between the Korean diaspora in the USA and Gyeonggi Province, and agreed to strive for revitalizing exchanges and collaboration in the US region in the future.


The Federation of Korean Associations in the USA is a representative organization of the Korean community in the US, founded in Washington D.C. in 1977, succeeding the Korean Friendship Association (1903). It consists of 8 metropolitan federations, over 180 local Korean associations, and 2.7 million Korean Americans. They are visiting Korea to attend events such as the Federation of Korean Associations Night and the World Korean Association Presidents Conference.
