Domestic digital twin leading company E8 is accelerating its efforts to enter overseas markets. Following the confirmation of its participation in the digital twin construction project in Tashkent, the capital city of Uzbekistan, it is now targeting the global smart city market by collaborating with companies in Hong Kong and Colombia.
On the 10th, E8 announced that it will export digital twin technology in the fields of urban planning and infrastructure management in cooperation with SmartCity Colombia.
SmartCity Colombia is an organization that provides various technical and policy solutions to facilitate the transition to smart cities, offering a range of smart city-related services such as smart infrastructure and sustainable energy management within the city. E8 plans to work with SmartCity Colombia to simulate urban development plans and predict changes in population, traffic flow, and environmental impact due to urban growth, thereby supporting the establishment of optimized urban planning.
Additionally, infrastructure facilities such as roads, bridges, and water supply and sewage systems will be implemented as digital twins to monitor the condition of facilities in real time and establish efficient maintenance and management systems. In the event of natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes, digital twins will be used to predict the scale of damage and prepare effective response measures. Furthermore, E8 plans to actively support the digital transformation of Colombian cities by providing education and consulting on smart city construction and operation to the Colombian government and city officials, as well as supporting the adoption of digital twin technology.
By partnering with Manly Technology Group of Hong Kong, E8 is also actively moving to secure the digital twin market in Asia, including Hong Kong. Manly Technology Group is a company that provides Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) solutions, with branches in Hong Kong, Australia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and China, operating extensively across the Asia-Pacific region. E8 plans to leverage Manly Technology Group’s rich experience and network to enter the smart city market in Hong Kong and other parts of Asia.
An E8 official stated, "2024 will be the inaugural year for showcasing E8’s digital twin technology in the global market," adding, "We will continue to expand our overseas market entry and lead the global digital twin market by developing customized solutions tailored to each country."
