On the 10th, before the first round of the Dongbu Construction & Korea Land Trust Championship (total prize money 1 billion KRW) held at Iksan Country Club (par 72, 6,663 yards) in Iksan, Jeonbuk, she revealed, "I have submitted my application for the LPGA Tour Q School and plan to participate." The LPGA Tour Q School will take place in December. Ranked 32nd in the world, Yoo Yi-na is exempt from the Q School preliminary round and will proceed directly to the final stage. If she finishes within the top 25 at Q School, she will secure playing rights on the LPGA Tour for the following year.
This year, Yoo Yi-na is leading both the prize money ranking (1.1361 billion KRW) and the average score ranking (70.05 strokes). She is especially praised for her outstanding driving distance, which is considered competitive even on the LPGA Tour. Yoo Yi-na said, "I believe it is better to enter the U.S. tour while I am still young," but added cautiously, "Even if I pass Q School, I have not yet decided whether I will compete in the U.S. starting next year." She continued, "There are many factors to consider, so I don't know yet. For now, my goal is to perform well in KLPGA Tour events and to qualify at Q School."
