Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 10th that the fan club of singer Lee Byung-chan, ‘Daseot Norangideul,’ donated 2.5 million won through the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest on the 8th.
This donation was voluntarily collected by fan club members to commemorate the 3rd anniversary of singer Lee Byung-chan’s debut (October 14) and will be used for medical expenses, living costs, and other needs for vulnerable neighbors in welfare blind spots within the city.
A representative of Daseot Norangideul said, “We are happy to donate to Pocheon, Lee Byung-chan’s hometown, on this meaningful debut anniversary. We hope that, as he wishes, marginalized neighbors can pursue their dreams and find happiness.”
Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, “I would like to express my gratitude to Daseot Norangideul, who practice sharing in person every year and strive to create a city full of love. The donated funds will be delivered with warm hearts thinking of our neighbors.”
Meanwhile, Daseot Norangideul has been continuing donations to Pocheon Middle School, Lee Byung-chan’s alma mater, every year on the anniversary of his debut.
