Gwangju City held the "2024 Gwangju City Village Community Festival" on the 9th at the City Hall WASBE Plaza. Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) announced on the 10th that it successfully held the '2024 Gwangju City Village Community Festival' at the WASBE Plaza in City Hall on the 9th.
On this day, the event was attended by Mayor Bang Se-hwan, guests, and over 500 citizens, and was organized as a festival where communities that have worked to promote the spirit of community could unite and enjoy with the citizens under the theme "Hearts Gather, Connecting the Village!"
The event featured a variety of rich programs including village community exhibition and experience booths, alpaca experience, traditional games, face painting, fire safety education booths, as well as cultural performances prepared by the communities.
Additionally, based on the achievements of the 16 communities selected this year, three outstanding communities were chosen and awarded during the event.
Mayor Bang Se-hwan said, "Communities make our villages special and have the power to cooperate and develop together," adding, "When communities develop, villages develop, and ultimately, our Gwangju City will grow into a livable area where three generations can be happy."
