Dongducheon City and Dongyang University Sign Consignment Agreement for Operating SW·AI Leading School

On the 8th, Park Hyung-deok of Dongducheon City signed a consignment agreement on the operation of a regional university-linked SW·AI leading school with about 10 people including Noh Kyung-chul, head of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation at Dongyang University.

On the 10th, Dongducheon City in Gyeonggi announced that on the 8th, Mayor Park Hyung-deok and Noh Kyung-chul, head of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation at Dongyang University, along with about 10 others, signed a consignment agreement for the operation of a regional university-linked SW·AI leading school.

This agreement was promoted to strengthen the competitiveness of regional universities and to create living conditions for local talent.

According to the agreement, the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Dongyang University will comprehensively operate and manage the SW·AI education project, including curriculum development, program operation, and teaching material management, for three years starting this year.

Since being selected as a pilot area for the education development special zone in February this year, Dongducheon City is promoting 13 detailed projects aimed at building a city good for raising children, a city fostering global talent, and a city nurturing future industry talent.

Meanwhile, on the 17th, the city plans to hold a policy briefing session on major projects of the education development special zone for residents at the Hanwoollim Performance Hall on the 2nd floor of the Lifelong Education Center.
