Two Suspected Accomplices in Crime Booked
A warehouse manager who broke into a rented warehouse and embezzled approximately 6.8 billion won in cash was apprehended by the police.
On the 10th, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul announced that they plan to send a man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, who was booked on charges including nighttime break-in and theft, to the prosecution.
Mr. A is accused of breaking into the rented warehouse from the 12th of last month until the following day and stealing 6.8 billion won in cash. After receiving a report of a large amount of cash missing, the police launched an investigation, apprehended Mr. A on the 2nd, detained him on the 5th, and seized 4.017 billion won of the stolen amount.
The police have booked two other individuals suspected of participating in the crime and are investigating whether they were accomplices. Mr. B and Mr. C are reportedly booked on charges of theft and involvement in transporting the cash, respectively.
A police official stated, "We plan to continue investigating whether there are additional hidden stolen funds."
