"Next year must be a year when the achievements of the 8th popularly elected county administration are delivered to the residents, allowing them to truly feel the impact,"
Lee Seunghwa, Governor of Sancheong County, Gyeongnam, emphasized this during the '2025 Major Business Plan Briefing' held in the governor's office on the 10th, requesting flawless execution of next year's projects.
Sancheong County held a major business plan briefing for next year to realize the 8th popularly elected administration's vision of "New Changes, Happiness for All in Sancheong" and to actively respond to the diverse administrative needs of its residents.
County Governor Lee Seunghwa is ordering to carry out next year's project perfectly at the 2025 major business plan briefing session.
During the briefing, attended by Governor Lee Seunghwa and others, a total of 254 items were discussed, including key pending projects by department and plans for new (special) initiatives.
In particular, in-depth discussions were held on promoting projects that allow residents to experience the effectiveness of administration, based on the five main county policies: a vibrant local economy, prosperous agriculture and rural areas, shared happiness and hopeful welfare, attractive culture and tourism, and trusted and empathetic administration.
Major projects in the vibrant local economy sector included revitalizing investment attraction and corporate support for the Oriental Medicine Anti-Aging Industrial Complex, customized support for youth anti-aging bio startups, and support for job creation tailored to local industries.
In the prosperous agriculture and rural sector, topics included expanding the local specialty products festival, fostering a pilot complex for future-oriented multi-axis fruit tree shapes, and operating the Sancheong County Integrated Food Support Center.
In the shared happiness and hopeful welfare sector, projects included supporting happy growth for elementary, middle, and high school students, subsidizing out-of-pocket expenses for childcare services, promoting the "Happy Two Meals" project, and mobile tuberculosis screening for the elderly. In the attractive culture and tourism sector, discussions covered the successful promotion of the 2025 Year of Visiting Sancheong, construction of a happiness culture center, and continued development of public park golf courses.
In the trusted and empathetic administration sector, discussions continued on projects such as the Wonji District city gas supply project, youth rental housing utilizing vacant homes, full free fare for rural buses, and expansion of rural village sewage systems (Ipseok, Sijang).
Sancheong County plans to actively pursue these projects by revising and supplementing them based on the discussions at the briefing and allocating them in the 2025 main budget.
Governor Lee Seunghwa stated, "Although we expect difficult conditions in local finances, we will realize a happy county administration by maintaining continuity of work and implementing substantial projects based on the achievements made so far."
