We introduce the ‘Field 3GO’ golf courses suitable for spending happy times with golf. This time, it is the Pine Stone Country Club (CC) located in Songsan-myeon, Dangjin-si, Chungnam.

◆EnjoyGO= Pine Stone is an elegant space harmonized with nature. It opened in May 2008 as an 18-hole public golf course (par 72, 7,338 yards). The tee is Kentucky bluegrass, the fairway is zoysia grass, and the greens are bentgrass. It is a golf course that excites golfers’ hearts. Pine Stone CC has 8 scenic features. These include a 1 km walking trail with swaying silver grass and reeds, a crape myrtle tree with 200 years of history, a lightning-struck sculptural pine tree on the practice green that looks alive, a hackberry tree resembling a Daruma statue located under a stream waterfall, an old cornelian cherry tree on the Pine Stone Village walking path, a trifoliate orange tree evoking hometown nostalgia, old bonsai crape myrtle trees scattered around the holes, and natural monuments such as black swans and mandarin ducks.

It is a golf course leading the West Coast era. The exquisite landscaping harmonized with pristine nature is outstanding. It was built on a vast coastal land. The entire course is gently flat, suitable for golfers who want to hit powerful long shots. The course is surrounded by a clear lake and composed of over 100 species of trees and flowers. If you get too complacent because of the beautiful scenery, it is a mistake. There are 116 bunkers lurking throughout the course.

The Pine Course (par 36, 3,726 yards) has the atmosphere of exploring an unknown forest. The dramatic course is impressive. The entire course is surrounded by 13,000 dense pine trees, golden fields, and a magnificent natural drama created by millions of winter migratory birds. The Stone Course (par 36, 3,612 yards) places rocks here and there. It is a dynamic course that requires constant attention. The signature hole is the 8th hole of the Stone Course. It is an island hole floating in the middle of a lake. To attack the green, precise club selection and high concentration are required.

◆EatGO= The Pine Stone clubhouse is a lounge for VIPs. It elevates the class. It is a high-end place where you can overlook the course at a glance. Even while seated, it is an observatory where you can see the field course in one view. It is a business venue where you can enjoy the golf course scenery and have conversations before and after rounds. The locker room can accommodate up to 700 people simultaneously. The clean and comfortable sauna thoroughly washes away the fatigue of golfers tired from long rounds.

At the Pine Stone restaurant, you can enjoy the spectacular view of Dangjin on the clean West Coast sea. It is a place where you can watch both sunrise and sunset simultaneously. You can feel the taste and aroma of Dangjin through seasonal delicacies. In the morning, Korean beef soup, seaweed soup with beef, dried shrimp and malva soup, daily porridge, and American-style breakfast are served. The West Coast seafood hot pot, available for lunch and dinner, is the best. Being located on the coast, grilled salted mackerel set meals and abalone seafood jjambbong are also good choices. If you order in advance, you can enjoy various hot pot dishes, sweet and sour pork, jeongabok, and seafood nurungji soup. The teahouse also conveys elegance. It is a cozy and warm space. Snacks include kongguksu (cold soybean noodles), tofu kimchi, beef brisket soup tteokbokki, beef yukjeon (pan-fried beef), and spicy marinated cuttlefish and baby octopus. The start house is designed with a modern sensibility. It is a cafeteria where you can enjoy rest and leisure in a sophisticated atmosphere.

◆SeeGO= There is a newly rising place. It is the Sapgyoho Tourist Area, where you can enjoy both the lake and the sea at once. It is full of attractions, food, and things to enjoy. The West Sea, an artificial lake, golden fields, and various amusement parks are gathered in one place. It is the gateway to Dangjin and a national tourist destination. There are various facilities such as Korea’s first Sapgyoho Ship Park using a retired naval warship and a marine theme experience center where you can learn about marine safety and marine life.

The Dangjin Marine Camping Park, where you can spend a romantic day, is also popular. A bicycle path is built along the freshwater lake of Sapgyoho. There are a lake park, baseball stadium, and ecological wetland park. The Sapgyoho Sea Park is equipped with an observation deck, sports facilities, a performance hall, and walking trails. The World Art Circus performance, where you can feel memories, nostalgia, and thrills, is also worth seeing. There is a fish market and sashimi center where you can select fresh seafood from the West Sea yourself, and a shellfish barbecue specialty restaurant where you can grill various clams harvested from the West Sea mudflats over charcoal. Every October, the Sapgyoho Clam Barbecue Festival is held. Events such as fireworks, surprise seafood auctions, and barehanded fish catching take place.
