Inactive Account @America Secured
Cash Distribution Also Seen During Swing State Campaign Participation
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, who has gone "all in" on the election of former President Donald Trump as the Republican candidate in the U.S. presidential election, has fully supported him by even handing over the X account and distributing cash.

On the 7th (local time), Axios reported that Musk secured the '@America' account on X for Trump's campaign. This account had mainly posted content criticizing former President Trump and Musk, and it is said to have been dormant for the past four years. X has a policy of acquiring inactive accounts or permanently deleting them. When Musk took over this account, the previous user received a new account named @Aerica123-12, with the numbers '123-12' appended.
After acquiring Twitter in 2022, Musk declared that he would keep the platform unbiased and politically neutral, but he overturned his words to support Trump. He has actively used his own account with 2 million followers to promote far-right rhetoric and support former President Trump.
The current @America account introduces itself as "AmericaPAC was established to support candidates who advocate for secure borders, reasonable spending, safe cities, a fair judicial system, freedom of the press, and self-defense."
In an interview with former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson, Musk declared, "I am 'all in' for (Trump's election)," and not only hijacked the @America account to provide it to Trump but also distributed cash. Using his super PAC called 'AmericaPAC,' he offers $47 (63,000 won) per person to voters in seven battleground states who pledge support for the First Amendment (freedom of expression) and the Second Amendment (right to bear arms).
The New York Times explained, "It is illegal to give or receive money in exchange for voter registration or voting, but it is not illegal to pay people to sign a petition."
