The Daegu Metropolitan Council (Chairman Lee Mangyu) will hold its 312th extraordinary session for 12 days from the 10th to the 21st, during which it will review 47 agenda items, including the “Daegu Metropolitan City Ordinance on Fire Prevention and Safety Facility Support for Electric Vehicle-Only Parking Zones,” and conduct site visits as part of its legislative activities.
During this session, the Daegu Metropolitan Council will deliberate on a total of 47 agenda items, including 31 ordinance enactments and amendments, 15 agreements, and 1 opinion submission.
The ordinances to be reviewed and amended include: Partial Amendment Ordinance on the Operation of Daegu Metropolitan City-Invested and Funded Institutions (Hwang Sunja, Dalseo-gu 3), Ordinance on Prevention and Management of Serious Accidents in Daegu Metropolitan City (Yuk Jeongmi, Proportional), Ordinance on Fire Prevention and Safety Facility Support for Electric Vehicle-Only Parking Zones in Daegu Metropolitan City (Kim Daehyun, Seo-gu 1), Partial Amendment Ordinance on the Installation and Operation of Funeral Facilities in Daegu Metropolitan City (Lee Youngae, Dalseo-gu 1), Ordinance on Support for Lifelong Education for the Disabled in Daegu Metropolitan City (Kim Jeongok, Proportional), Partial Amendment Ordinance on Air Quality Improvement and Support in Daegu Metropolitan City (Kim Jaeyong, Buk-gu 3), Ordinance on Fostering and Supporting the Drone Industry in Daegu Metropolitan City (Park Jongpil, Proportional), Ordinance on Fostering and Supporting the Insect Industry in Daegu Metropolitan City (Kwon Gihun, Dong-gu 3), Partial Amendment Ordinance on Building Regulations in Daegu Metropolitan City (Kim Jiman, Buk-gu 2), Partial Amendment Ordinance on Support for Victims of Jeonse Fraud and Housing Stability in Daegu Metropolitan City (Lee Youngae, Dalseo-gu 1), Partial Amendment Ordinance on the Operation of Children's Traffic Safety Education Centers in Daegu Metropolitan City (Park Soyoung, Dong-gu 2), Partial Amendment Ordinance on Free Public Transportation Support for Seniors in Daegu Metropolitan City (Lim Inhwan, Jung-gu 1), Ordinance on Educational Support for Students with Health Disabilities by the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education (Son Hankook, Dalseong-gun 3), Ordinance on Promotion of School Culture and Arts Education by the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education (Park Soyoung, Dong-gu 2), Ordinance on Promotion of Preferential Purchase of Products Made by Severely Disabled Persons by the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education (Kim Jaeyong, Buk-gu 3), Partial Amendment Ordinance on the Establishment and Operation of the Integrated Fiscal Stabilization Fund by the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education (Park Wookeun, Nam-gu 1), Partial Amendment Ordinance on Prevention of Illegal Filming in Public Restrooms in Daegu Metropolitan City (Ha Byeongmun, Buk-gu 4), Ordinance on Prevention of Drunk Driving and Support for Child Victims in Daegu Metropolitan City (Kim Jeongok, Proportional), and other ordinances proposed by council members in various fields.
At the first plenary session to be held at 10 a.m. on the 10th, the opening ceremony will be followed by the approval of various agenda items for the operation of the session.
At the second plenary session to be held at 2 p.m. on the 11th, there will be two administrative questions: an inquiry into the sluggish progress of the rooftop solar project in industrial complexes (Lee Dongwook, Buk-gu 5) and "Where is the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Administrative Integration Heading?" (Lee Seongo, Suseong-gu 3). In addition, there will be five five-minute free speeches: urging support measures for the community participation of retired teachers (Hwang Sunja, Dalseo-gu 3), calling for wise decisions to protect the community space regarding the sale of Buk-gu Citizen Sports Ground (Ha Byeongmun, Buk-gu 4), pointing out the current status and proposing solutions for eradicating fare evasion in Daegu's public transportation (Jeong Ilgyun, Suseong-gu 1), urging solutions to automobile and motorcycle noise problems in residential areas (Kim Taewoo, Suseong-gu 5), and calling for the establishment of a care system without blind spots for the issue of solitary deaths (Kim Jiman, Buk-gu 2).
From the 12th to the 20th, each standing committee will review agenda items and visit various administrative sites to listen directly to citizens and field voices, thoroughly examining the progress of city administration.
At 10 a.m. on the 21st, the third plenary session will be held, featuring five five-minute free speeches: urging the guarantee of employment periods for vulnerable apartment complex workers (Kim Wonkyu, Dalseong-gun 2), urging proactive measures by Daegu Metropolitan City to attract water industry promotion institutions (Kim Jaeyong, Buk-gu 3), questioning whether the sale of Daegu City's prime shared assets truly serves the public interest (Lee Youngae, Dalseo-gu 1), raising concerns about the extension of use of the Seongseo Resource Recovery Facility and the safety of residents (Yoon Kwongeun, Dalseo-gu 5), and urging solutions for conflicts related to the reorganization of home care services for the elderly (Kim Jeongok, Proportional). Afterward, agenda items passed by each standing committee will be processed, concluding the 312th extraordinary session.
