Relay Campaign for Child Abuse Prevention 'Positive Parenting' Participation

Lee Sang-ro, Chairman of the Gyeonggi-do Northern Autonomous Police Committee, is participating in the child abuse prevention relay campaign "Positive Parenting" on the 8th.

The Gyeonggi-do Northern Autonomous Police Committee (Chairman Lee Sang-ro) participated in the child abuse prevention relay campaign "Positive Parenting" on the 8th.

This campaign, organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Child Rights Protection Agency, aims to raise awareness of child abuse prevention and spread social recognition. It started with the first participant, the 1st Vice Minister of Health and Welfare, in the first week of May, and has been conducted in a relay format where each participating institution nominates two subsequent institutions.

Chairman Lee Sang-ro, recommended by Kim Ho-seung, Chief of the Gyeonggi Northern Police Agency, nominated Chairman Lim Sang-oh of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council's Safety and Administration Committee and President Hong Ji-yeon of Kyungmin University as the next relay participants.

Along with participating in the campaign, Chairman Lee emphasized the importance of preventing child abuse and protecting children, pledging to cooperate with the local community. Through this campaign, it is hoped that social interest in protecting children's rights and creating a healthy growth environment will be further heightened.

Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi-do Northern Autonomous Police Committee opened the first "Crisis Child Protection Center" in northern Gyeonggi in Paju City last December and is currently operating it. This social safety net involves local government (child abuse dedicated officials), police (APO), and private (child protection specialized agencies) working together on a regular basis to perform one-stop child abuse prevention, victim child protection, and support. In the future, efforts will be made to expand crisis child protection centers in each city and county in northern Gyeonggi to facilitate early detection of child abuse and systematic support.

Furthermore, the committee plans to continue various activities and cooperation to prevent child abuse and do its best to create a safe and warm environment for children.
