The 'Bonggihoe,' an association of entrepreneurs from Bonghwa consisting of 11 members including Moon Changgi, Chairman of Ediya Coffee, announced on the 8th that they have donated 30 million won in Hometown Love Donations to Bonghwa County.
The Bonghwa Entrepreneurs Association (Bonggihoe, President Jang Deoksoo), composed of entrepreneurs originally from Bonghwa, was formed by 11 members in 2021 and has since been engaged in various social volunteer activities.

In particular, last August, five entrepreneurs from Bonggihoe?Moon Changgi, Chairman of Ediya Coffee; Jang Deoksoo, Chairman of DS Asset Management; Choi Samseop, Chairman of Daewon Plus Group; Lee Jaehwan, Chairman of Toptec; and Geum Seokheon, CEO of Haeseong?donated 360 million won to Bonghwa County as relief funds for neighbors affected by severe heavy rains.
Park Hyunkook, Governor of Bonghwa County, said, "I hope that the Hometown Love Donations from entrepreneurs who have left Bonghwa will serve as a catalyst for new vitality in the region. It would be great if these entrepreneurs actively participate in the Hometown Love Donation System and serve as ambassadors to promote it for the development of the region."
Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation System allows individuals to donate up to 5 million won per year to their hometown or any local government other than their own address. Donations are fully tax-deductible up to 100,000 won, and 16.5% of the amount exceeding that, with donors also able to choose a return gift worth up to 30% of their donation from each local government.
