FSN, a KOSDAQ-listed company, announced on the 8th that its subsidiaries Boosters and Adqua Interactive (hereinafter Adqua) produced the TVC advertisement video for the hair loss medical community 'Daedamo' entirely using artificial intelligence (AI).
To overcome the limitations of existing AI advertisements, Boosters and Adqua clearly understood AI technology and maximized its strengths by deriving ideas best expressed through AI from the ideation stage. By utilizing AI technology to create Daedamo's iconic lion character in a 3D style, they structured the advertisement to highlight Daedamo's character more prominently. Since Daedamo is a community where people with hair loss gather to share concerns and empathize, the campaign was planned to help overcome hair loss stress through parody and humor. Despite being an AI-based advertising campaign, it was designed to encourage empathy and participation from people experiencing hair loss.
This TVC actively utilized AI not only in video production but also in content planning, digital ad copy generation, and design, excluding only the voice dubbing for the 'lion episode.' For the digital campaign aimed at increasing Daedamo's awareness, Boosters’ proprietary AI platform 'CREeX.ai' (hereinafter CREeX) is lending support. CREeX is an advertising production boosting service based on generative AI technology, allowing users to quickly create and manage ad creatives with just a few simple clicks. It also supports functions necessary for advertising and marketing tasks. Since adopting CREeX, Boosters has reportedly reduced paid image usage by over 90%, and the speed of ad production has improved by more than 70% compared to before.
This TVC video maximized efficiency in terms of cost, time, and manpower by utilizing AI. Producing the advertisement through conventional methods would have cost around 200 million KRW for CG, filming, and editing, but this AI-driven project incurred only costs related to AI platform operation and subscription fees. Additionally, the usual 4 to 6 weeks required for ad planning and production was shortened to just one week. The number of specialized personnel involved was also significantly reduced. Three members from Adqua’s AI expert team ‘Aidea Lab’ were responsible for creating four advertisement materials. The company explained that high-quality creatives are essential for good advertising alongside AI technology, so they actively utilize key talent in this area.
FSN analyzed that using AI technology greatly reduces physical constraints, enabling the creation of more diverse forms of creatives. Unlike traditional advertisements that required large production and model fees, an environment has been created where small and medium-sized enterprises and startups can produce and execute high-quality advertisements at low costs, leading to expectations of significant changes in the overall advertising industry.
Kang Wonju, CEO of Daedamo.com, said, "The traditional advertising production process involves significant financial burdens for filming, editing, recording, and 3D work, whereas AI advertising can greatly reduce production costs, making it much more affordable for small and medium-sized enterprises and startups to experiment with various attempts." He added, "Adqua’s capable advertising experts provided creative ideas, and this advertisement, which actively utilized the advantages of AI technology, is highly satisfactory in all aspects including creativity and video quality, and we expect great results."
Going forward, FSN plans to expand AI-based advertising marketing and brand accelerating services centered on Boosters and Adqua. Boosters is already utilizing AI most efficiently for advertising marketing for partner brands, and Adqua has been recognized for its capabilities by producing advertisements with AI for leading domestic conglomerates even before this campaign.
Seojeonggyo, CEO of FSN, stated, “The generative AI advertising market is a huge promising industry growing at an average annual rate of 125%. FSN has accumulated know-how through its proprietary AI platform and expert teams, creating several successful cases." He added, "We are focusing our capabilities to become the company that best utilizes AI domestically while producing excellent advertising campaign results.”
