Comedian Jang Dong-min has become a hot topic after winning the largest poker tournament in Asia. On the 7th, Jang Dong-min posted related photos on his social media (SNS) and stated, "I won the APT (Asia Poker Tour) Taiwan Team Event." From the 27th of last month, at the 'Asia Poker Tour' (APT) held in Taiwan, Jang Dong-min and Heo Sung-wook won the Hold'em Team Event. Former pro gamer Lim Yo-hwan was the runner-up in the individual event in 2018, and Hong Jin-ho won in 2019.

Jang Dong-min shared his thoughts on winning, saying, "It was the biggest tournament in Asia, so I was very nervous, but somehow I had a feeling I would win from the moment I left the country. I've been feeling good lately." He added, "Our Ji-woo also won at kindergarten and brought rice as a prize, so Dad can't lose either. Next time, I will win at an even bigger tournament." Congratulations from colleagues followed. Comedian Lee Sang-jun commented, "As expected, a genius," and caster Lee Kwang-seop said, "Truly the pride of the East, the pride of KBS, the pride of the comedy world." Hong Jin-ho left a clapping emoji.

Previously, Jang Dong-min also won the 'Asia Poker Championship' (APC) High Roller division last year, receiving a prize of 50 million won. In November last year, he appeared on MBC's 'Radio Star' and said, "It's been about a year since I started participating in tournaments, and my cumulative prize money is about 150 million won," adding, "The WSOP (World Series of Poker) held in Las Vegas has prize money of about 13 billion won. I definitely want to challenge it."

Meanwhile, Jang Dong-min, known as the "genius of the comedy world," is showing success not only in his main career as a comedian but also as an entrepreneur, winning survival variety shows and obtaining patents. He first won tvN's 'The Genius' seasons 3 and 4 (2014?2015) and 'Society Game 2' (2017). Additionally, Jang Dong-min received an excellence award for a recycling idea at the '2023 Environmental Startup Competition' hosted by the Ministry of Environment last year. Furthermore, he recently obtained a patent for a diaper bag. Regarding the background of product development, he explained on a broadcast, "Most diaper bags are designed for women, but it's actually men who carry them."
