Seongdong-gu Hosts the 7th Seongsu Urban Regeneration Festival 'Walking Only on Flower Paths'

August 8-9 at Seongsu-dong Understand Avenue, operated in connection with 'Creative X Seongsu'
Offering various attractions, food, and entertainment including promotional exhibition hall, flea market, exhibition experience booths, and festival events

Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) announced that the 7th Seongsu Urban Regeneration Festival 'Walk Only on Flower Roads' will be held from October 8 to 9 at Seongsu-dong's Understand Avenue.

Recently, Seongsu-dong has emerged as a global hotspot, ranking 4th in the list of 'World's Coolest Neighborhoods' selected by the famous British magazine Time Out. The festival 'Walk Only on Flower Roads' held in Seongsu-dong is expected to be an opportunity to further promote Seongsu-dong’s unique urban regeneration model where the past and present coexist.

Now in its 7th year, 'Walk Only on Flower Roads' is a Seongsu Urban Regeneration Festival that introduces the meaning of urban regeneration while supporting social enterprises and small business owners in the area. It strengthens Seongsu-dong’s identity and provides opportunities for local youth businesses, small merchants, and prospective entrepreneurs to develop new markets, establishing itself as Seongsu-dong’s representative urban regeneration festival.

Especially this year, a promotional exhibition hall for 'Walk Only on Flower Roads' will be operated on the small stage at Understand Avenue, offering visitors a chance to see various creators’ works at a glance. Various programs such as photo zone shooting, leaving festival messages, and SNS promotion will be held, and participants will receive souvenirs, making the festival full of enjoyable events.

The festival will also be rich in 'things to see' and 'things to eat,' adding to the fun. The flea market will feature a total of 40 booths, showcasing handmade and upcycled living products, wooden rings, accessories, and other crafts, along with a food market. Exhibition and experience booths will offer residents diverse experiences such as handkerchief decorating, making baskets using sock yarn, and an exhibition of underwater trash from the Han River.
