Selection of 100 Major Performance Management Projects for Minseon 8th Term... Monthly Inspections
Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) held the ‘2025 Major Business Plan Report Meeting’ on the 7th, presided over by Mayor Oh Eon-seok.
The report meeting was conducted with presentations and Q&A sessions on next year’s major projects by each department, attended by 39 district office departments, the local public enterprise Dobong-gu Facilities Management Corporation, and the investment and contribution institution Dobong Cultural Foundation.
Before the departmental presentations, a review of the major achievements in the first half of the 8th elected term and an analysis of anticipated administrative demands by project were conducted.
Based on the matters discussed at this report meeting, the district plans to supplement the major business plan, reflect it in next year’s budget, and finalize it in December.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “Next year, we will not only expand regional development projects but also increase life-centered projects so that residents can directly feel the changes in Dobong.”
The district set the goal of next year’s major business plan as ‘changes that residents can feel.’ Based on the achievements of the first half of the 8th elected term, the plan is to establish projects that can maximize growth in the second half and execute them systematically.
To concretize this, 100 major performance management projects of the 8th elected term were selected, and regular monthly meetings will be held to check the progress of implementation. Additionally, to promote regional balanced development, projects will be adjusted by district zones during the meetings.
To leap forward as the central city of northeastern Seoul, the district will focus on developing the area around Changdong Station next year, including the construction of Seoul Arena, development of Changdong Private Investment Station, establishment of a complex distribution center, and construction of Changdong Station Complex Transfer Center.
For regional development, efforts will be made to attract the Kukkiwon to the site of the relocated Dobong-dong Chemical Unit, and tourism projects linked to the nearby Hanok Village under development will be carried out.
The district also plans to strengthen transportation infrastructure necessary for regional development by prioritizing support for GTX-C construction, extending the Ui~Sinseol light rail to Banghak-dong, undergrounding the Cheongnyangni~Dobongsan Station section of Line 1, extending the Suseo-origin SRT to Changdong Station, and rebuilding the aging Banghak Station.
In addition, projects with high resident satisfaction will be expanded. These include expanding the Jungnangcheon deck path, creating waterfront vitality hubs, establishing barrier-free forest trails in Choansan and Ssangmun Parks, creating indoor play complex cultural spaces in parks, refurbishing Balbal Park, establishing Choansan Book Shelter, providing legal consultation support for residents affected by disaster accidents, undergrounding power lines and expanding sidewalks on school routes, expanding shingles vaccinations for the elderly, and improving village bus operation services to enhance satisfaction with district administration.
