Gim Jin-gyeong, Chairperson of Gyeonggi Provincial Council, Holds 'Talk Concert' with Secretariat Staff on the 7th

Kim Jin-kyung, Chairperson of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly, is speaking at the 'Assembly Empathy' staff communication event held on the 7th.

Kim Jin-kyung, Chairperson of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council (Democratic Party, Siheung 3), held a sympathy talk concert with the council office staff for the first time since taking office. At this event, Chairperson Kim stated, "We will establish a flexible promotion personnel system focused on performance."

At the '3rd Council Sympathy' held on the 7th in the main conference room of the council building, Chairperson Kim said, "We will improve the promotion personnel system to provide more opportunities according to the capabilities of the staff," and emphasized, "Specifically, for promotions below grade 5, we will remove the statutory quota ratio (30%) for selection, and for grade 4 promotions, while respecting seniority, we will open the 'path of selection' as much as possible to bring about substantial changes."

She also expressed a strong will to build a fair personnel system by saying, "We will fairly evaluate performance and ability so that employees can gain more diverse opportunities, and the results will lead to the development of the council."

In addition, she added, "We will actively promote institutional improvements such as the establishment of a mid-level grade 3 position and the realization of the number of professional committee members."

The event was planned with the purpose of fostering an autonomous and cooperative organizational culture.

Meanwhile, Chairperson Kim awarded commendations for exemplary public officials to eight council office staff members on the day.

Also, based on questions submitted in advance by the staff, a 'Sympathy Talk Talk Concert' was held during the event. Chairperson Kim sincerely answered various questions ranging from council development plans, reasons for entering politics, staff communication and welfare measures, to MBTI, broadening the scope of communication.

Chairperson Kim urged, "Based on the banner of a working council for the people’s livelihood, I will listen to your voices and actively reflect them in council operations," and added, "Let all members of the council office family make the second half of the 11th council term stronger and more splendid."
