Opposition Lawmaker Proves "It's Easy to Post Fake Listings on Danggeun"
Ruling Party Points Out "Violation of the Information and Communications Network Act"
During the National Assembly Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee's audit of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the ruling and opposition parties clashed over listings on 'Danggeun Market'.
At the audit held on the 7th at the Government Sejong Complex, Yoon Jong-gun, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, emphasized that it has become a serious issue because it is very easy to post used cars as false listings. To illustrate this, he revealed that he had registered "Minister Park's official vehicle, a Carnival, on Danggeun Market for 50 million won," even presenting related photos.
Yoon said, "It took less than a minute to post (Minister Park's vehicle as a false listing)." In response, Minister Park asked, "Did you get my permission to do that?" Kwon Young-jin of the People Power Party also pointed out, "Posting without the owner's consent violates the Information and Communications Network Act, and a member of the National Assembly posted a false listing."
Yoon countered, "Are the minister's official vehicle number and name state secrets?" However, Jeong Jeom-sik of the People Power Party rebutted, "Posting the vehicle number and owner as the minister itself is a crime."
This dispute continued into the afternoon audit session, and due to loud exchanges between ruling and opposition members, the audit was suspended for 10 minutes.
