Leading the Global Market at the Philippine Agriculture Expo
Opening New Export Channels for Domestic Agricultural Machinery and Equipment
Korea Rural Community Corporation announced on the 7th that it successfully concluded the event by participating in the "2024 Philippine Agriculture Expo (AGRILINK 2024)" held in Manila, Philippines, from the 3rd to the 5th, showcasing the excellent quality and competitiveness of domestic agricultural machinery and materials to the world.
According to the corporation, this year's expo, marking its 30th anniversary, was a large-scale event with about 500 companies from over 30 countries worldwide participating. It was held shortly after the Philippine government announced a massive investment plan to increase agricultural productivity and strengthen food security. With growing interest in agricultural mechanization and modernization within the Philippines, the event became a stage where Korean agricultural machinery companies received even greater attention.
At this expo, the corporation operated a 288㎡ Korean Pavilion, exhibiting a variety of agricultural machinery, fertilizers, pesticides, and seeds. Additionally, it provided systematic education on Philippine market analysis and entry strategies to 25 domestic agricultural machinery companies participating in the expo, supporting their successful participation through thorough preparation.
As a result, numerous consultations took place at the expo. A total of 162 consultations were conducted, achieving export consultation results worth 1.5 million USD. Following last month's market development in Vietnam, new possibilities were confirmed in the Philippine market.
President Lee Byung-ho stated, "The quality of domestic companies' agricultural machinery is already at a global level," adding, "We will spare no multifaceted support to ensure our companies thrive in global markets, including the Philippines, through this expo."
Meanwhile, following this Philippine Agriculture Expo, the corporation plans to participate in international expos held in Germany, Vietnam, and T?rkiye in November, striving to promote the overseas expansion of domestic agricultural machinery and materials.
