According to the 'School Deepfake False Video Damage Status' announced by the Ministry of Education on the 7th, the cumulative number of students affected by deepfake from January this year to the 4th of this month was 804. Teachers accounted for 33, and staff members 3.

The Ministry of Education has been investigating the damage status targeting 17 metropolitan and provincial offices of education since deepfake sexual exploitation materials were massively distributed through Telegram group chats, causing controversy.
The cumulative number of deepfake-related damage reports is 509. High schools accounted for 282 cases, middle schools 211 cases, and elementary schools 16 cases. The total number of cases referred for investigation was 422. High schools had 226 cases, middle schools 183 cases, and elementary schools 13 cases. The cumulative number of cases linked to video deletion support was 219.
