This Year's 'Bbangbbang Day Cheonan' to Be Held on Largest Scale Ever

Venue Changed from Cheonan City Hall Area to Cheonan Sports Complex
Promoting Local Bread and Integrating Experience, Culture, and Tourism

This Year's 'Bbangbbang Day Cheonan' to Be Held on Largest Scale Ever Cheonan City, Chungnam Province, will hold the '2024 Bread Bread Day Cheonan' from the 12th to the 13th. Last year's 'Bread Bread Day Cheonan' event.

Cheonan City in Chungnam, which brands itself as the "City of Bread," will host the largest-ever "2024 Bread Bread Day Cheonan" festival.

This festival, taking place from the 12th to the 13th at Cheonan Sports Complex, is organized and hosted by Cheonan City and the Cheonan Branch of the Korea Bakery Association.

The festival aims to promote the excellence of Cheonan's bread and establish a virtuous cycle for revitalizing the local economy, based on collaboration and mutual growth among the bakery sector, agriculture, businesses, universities, and citizens in the region.

Notably, as Bread Bread Day marks its fourth year, the event will move to a new venue and expand both the number of bakery market vendors and experience booths, making it the largest in its history as it seeks to establish itself as Korea's leading bread festival.

While last year's festival was held around Cheonan City Hall, this year it will take place at Cheonan Sports Complex, allowing visitors to see a wide variety of breads at a glance and enjoy bread-making experiences, bread art exhibitions, events, and booths from local businesses.

The bread market, which had 38 participants last year, will feature 50 bakeries this year, and the bread tour group, which selected 26 teams last year, has been expanded to 225 teams. The on-site experience group, which recruited 300 teams and 1,200 people last year, will be significantly expanded to 584 teams and 3,000 people this year.

Various participatory events involving local companies and agricultural and livestock businesses are also planned.

The experience zone, with participation from Baekseok Culture University and bakery companies, will offer six programs, including a walnut cookie baking program for seniors over 65, a cookie-making experience for children, and a bread-making experience for pets.

Local business booths and agricultural product sales areas will also be expanded. Namyang Dairy will hold a product promotion roulette event, Nongshim will offer snacks to visitors wearing bread-themed merchandise, and Shinsegae Food will conduct bread product promotions and bread giveaway events.

Mayor Park Sangdon said, "Bread Bread Day will be an opportunity to widely promote and grow the 'City of Bread Cheonan' brand," adding, "Going forward, 'City of Bread Cheonan' will continue to expand its positive influence in cooperation with citizens and through solidarity and mutual growth across all sectors of the region."
