'130-Year Tradition' of British Sailors' Style... Barbour Enters Starfield

LF announced on the 7th that the British heritage brand 'Barbour,' imported and sold by LF, will consecutively hold pop-up stores at Starfield Suwon and Goyang this year to celebrate the brand's 130th anniversary.

Founded in 1894, Barbour is a brand that began when John Barbour, a Scotsman, recognized the need for protective outerwear for sailors and fishermen living in a port city.

This pop-up will be held on the 1st floor Grand Atrium of Starfield Suwon until the 16th, followed by the 1st floor Central Atrium of Starfield Goyang from the 22nd to the 29th.

The pop-up is designed with various content and experiential elements that allow visitors to directly experience Barbour's 130 years of heritage. Six archive pieces containing Barbour's long history will be exhibited, enabling visitors to fully feel the design and sensibility of old Barbour. Representative pieces on display include some of Barbour's most iconic models such as the Bedale and Beaufort, as well as older models popular in the Korean market like the Spey jacket and Barbour International A7 jacket.

A re-waxing station will also be set up to re-wax Barbour's signature 'wax jackets.' Additionally, four limited-edition jackets?Spey Wax Jacket, Spey Quilt Jacket, Transport Wax Jacket, and Transport Quilt Jacket?modern reinterpretations of Barbour's classic archive, will be available for purchase.

Meanwhile, in the second half of this year, Barbour plans to continue aggressive marketing aimed at attracting not only existing loyal customers but also various new customers by expanding the unisex and women's item lineup, launching new casual 'Heritage Select' items, releasing winter down items applying Barbour heritage, and increasing Korea-exclusive product releases.
