October 11-15, Closed on the 13th... Over 1,800 Books Prepared by Age and Theme
The season for reading, autumn, has arrived.
Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that the district office plaza has been transformed into an outdoor library to welcome residents.
The outdoor library includes reading spaces, a children's playground, and bookshelves. Ten A-frame tents creating a camping atmosphere have been installed in the reading area. At night, solar-powered lights will illuminate the space, enhancing the autumn evening ambiance.
The bookshelves hold about 1,300 books categorized by age group and theme. Combined with the approximately 500 books in the smart library previously established in the plaza, a total of around 1,800 books are available.
The operating dates are from October 11 to October 15. It will be closed on Sunday, the 13th. Operating hours are from 4 PM to 8 PM on the 11th, 14th, and 15th, and from 2 PM to 5 PM on the 12th.
Various reading culture events will also be held. On the 11th, there will be a "Sound Play" reading concert, and on the 14th and 15th, family-friendly reading culture programs will be available.
On the 12th, programs for children will take place, including "Fairy Tale Drawing," "Umbrella Making," and "I am a Curator."
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, "The district office plaza has been transformed into a reading space for residents. We hope everyone enjoys reading books and relaxing in the cool autumn air at the plaza, spending happy times."
