Namyangju City Selects 'Namyangju Farmers Award' Recipients... Awards Ceremony on the 19th

Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) has selected four recipients for the Namyangju Farmer of the Year Award to be honored at this year's Farmers' Day ceremony.

The awardees are △ Kim Baek-jun in the Urban Agriculture category △ Park Jin-ho in the Fruit Farming category △ Kim Myung-bae in the Vegetable Farming category △ Chae Geum-jong in the Livestock category.

This award is a representative honor of Namyangju agriculture, established to discover and encourage farmers or farmer organizations who have contributed to the development of agriculture and rural areas.

The city recruited candidates for the Farmer of the Year Award for about a month starting in July. The recipients were selected through a first round of document screening, a second round of on-site evaluation, and a final review by the Namyangju Agriculture-Industry-Academia Cooperation Council.

The selected farmers were highly evaluated for their contributions to producing high-quality agricultural products and revitalizing local agriculture in their respective fields.

The awardees will receive a plaque and a farm signboard at the Farmers' Day ceremony during the 25th Agricultural Technology Exhibition.

Meanwhile, the 25th Namyangju Agricultural Technology Exhibition, themed "The Meeting of Namyangju Meokgol Pear and Kimchi," will be held on the 19th at the Namyangju Sports and Culture Center and will feature various programs.
