Operation of 60 Opening Clinics and Hospitals and 128 Pharmacies
Paju City in Gyeonggi Province will activate an emergency medical service system during the October holidays (3rd to 9th) to minimize inconvenience for citizens seeking medical care.
The local emergency medical institutions, ‘Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Paju Hospital’ and ‘Mediin Hospital,’ along with emergency medical facilities ‘Munsan Central Hospital’ and ‘Mucheok Joeun Hospital,’ will maintain the emergency medical service system by operating their emergency rooms 24 hours a day. Additionally, 60 local clinics and 128 pharmacies will remain open during the holiday period.
The city will operate the public health center’s situation room until the 9th to oversee the operation status of medical institutions and pharmacies during the holidays.
Information on medical institutions and pharmacies open during the holiday period can be found on Paju City’s official website, the emergency medical portal Ezen, and the smartphone app (Emergency Medical Information Service). Guidance is also available through the Ministry of Health and Welfare call center (129), Gyeonggi Province call center (120), 119 Ambulance Situation Management Center, and Paju Public Health Center.
The city urged patients with mild symptoms to use nearby local clinics (open medical institutions).
Lee Hansang, director of Paju Public Health Center, said, “We will operate the emergency medical service system during the holidays to minimize inconvenience for citizens in receiving medical treatment and purchasing medicines. We will provide emergency medical services at all times to thoroughly prepare so that no unexpected health damage occurs to citizens.”
