Kim Jin-su, First Deputy Superintendent of Education, "Efforts to Maximize Execution Rate and Revitalize Local Economy"
Expenditure Exceeds Ministry of Education Allocation Target of 3.0411 Trillion Won by 1.3 Billion Won
Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is holding the 3rd quarter financial execution inspection team meeting for consumption and investment sectors. The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) has achieved its fiscal execution targets for consumption and investment in the third quarter.
On the 4th, the Office announced that as of the 30th of last month, it executed 3.0424 trillion KRW, exceeding the Ministry of Education's third-quarter consumption and investment target of 3.0411 trillion KRW by 1.3 billion KRW.
The Office operates a monthly fiscal execution inspection team and conducts bi-monthly fiscal execution monitoring. Through multifaceted efforts, including analysis of underperforming projects, it exceeded the third-quarter fiscal execution targets for consumption and investment.
Since government fiscal execution contributes to economic growth, the Office is making every effort to expand fiscal execution to revitalize the local economy, which is facing difficulties due to a downturn in the construction market, high interest rates, and high inflation.
At the fiscal execution inspection team meeting held on the 30th of last month, First Deputy Superintendent Kim Jin-soo stated, “It is important to improve the practice of delaying projects that can be executed within the year, and public institutions play a crucial role in smoothly implementing major facility projects such as new school establishments and educational environment improvements,” adding, “I hope the fiscal execution rate will be increased to revitalize the weakened local economy.”
