Hong Jun-pyo "Han Dong-hoon only causes internal strife"
Na Kyung-won "Making noise itself is the act"
Hong Joon-pyo, the mayor of Daegu, warned that an impeachment crisis could arise again amid the ongoing conflict between Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People Power Party, and the Blue House.
On the 4th, Mayor Hong pointed out on his Facebook, "It is not normal at all that the ruling party leader, who should be preparing countermeasures against the Democratic Party ahead of the national audit, is fighting with the Blue House." He continued, "We entrusted the leader to unite and respond to attacks from the opposition party, but he is only causing internal strife," strongly criticizing Leader Han.
Regarding Leader Han's recent order to investigate Kim Dae-nam, former senior administrator of the Blue House, Hong said, "It is not normal to order an investigation of party members just because they criticize you," adding, "In a world where even the president is subject to criticism, it is childish for a fleeting ruling party leader to order an investigation just because he is criticized." He warned, "Stop it and focus on preparing for the national audit. Otherwise, it could become Park Geun-hye Season 2."
Na Kyung-won: "Making noise itself is an act of misconduct"
Na Kyung-won, a member of the People Power Party, also targeted Leader Han, who ordered an investigation into the 'attack instigation' allegations, on CBS's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' that day, saying, "Making noise itself is an act of misconduct." Na said, "There might be a need for a fact-finding investigation, but should the leader's close aides all come out and escalate the issue with the leader's wording? I don't understand the intention." She added, "Making noise like this itself can be considered an act of misconduct," and noted, "There have been no lawsuits or complaints filed regarding such incidents during the party convention process."
Earlier, the media outlet 'Seoul Voice' released a recording file on the 1st, in which former administrator Kim was heard instigating attacks against Leader Han, who was then a candidate for the People Power Party leadership, ahead of the party convention in July. According to the recording, Kim said during the convention, "If we hit Leader Han Dong-hoon, Mrs. Kim Geon-hee will be pleased." When controversy arose, Kim immediately expressed his intention to leave the party, but Leader Han ordered an internal investigation, calling it "an act that crossed many lines."
