Active Ordinance Enactment Recognized in Safety and Welfare Fields

Jeon Seung-il, Chairman of the Gwangju Seo-gu Council, announced on the 2nd that he received the 2024 Korea National Award in the 'Autonomous Legislative Sector' at the Korea Press Center Press Club.
The Korea National Award is presented by the Korea National Movement Headquarters to proud Korean citizens who have contributed to enhancing the status and national dignity of the Republic of Korea in various fields such as domestic and international politics, economy, society, corporate management, autonomous administration, and future talents.
Chairman Jeon Seung-il was recognized for his contributions to the development of Seo-gu through active ordinance enactment activities in the fields of safety and welfare, and for his legislative activities aimed at improving the welfare of district residents as their representative.
Chairman Jeon Seung-il said, "I am honored to receive the Korea National Award as a result of dedicating myself solely to legislative activities for the residents," and added, "I will continue to lead the improvement of residents' welfare by achieving the development of local legislation with a strong sense of mission and a spirit of service based on change and innovation."
On the 12th of last month, Chairman Jeon Seung-il also received the individual award in the 'Social Conflict Resolution Sector' for regional and social development contributions, hosted by Segye Ilbo.
